Having lived in a house with lots of separate rooms and spaces, our clients wanted to explore ways to improve the layout of their home, creating a more functional, social and comfortable space, designed to complement their love for cooking and spending time in the garden. As well as transforming their home internally, our clients tasked us with creating an external design that would give this Extension the wow factor.

We designed a full-length cedar lined box design that moves their kitchen into the Extension, creating an open plan kitchen/living/dining area with a woodburning stove for whenever a bit of warmth and atmosphere is desired. A tiled floor allows the whole family, especially the dog to wonder in and out of the garden via impressive patio doors, carefree, complimented by a large continuing cedar overhang which shelters the patio doors from the weather.
