The original 20-year-old conservatory on this property had become draughty and required a lot of maintenance. Our clients realised just how much they enjoyed their outside space and didn’t want to be without it.

They approached Mozolowski and Murray to design a Sun Lounge that would give them their much-loved outdoor space but wanted to build a solid and well insulated structure that could be used all year round.

We designed a pitched solid roof Sun Lounge incorporating a glazed lantern design and a fully glazed gable overlooking the garden. Double doors on the front elevation open out fully onto a path, leading to the outside patio area. The combination of the solid roof glazed central lanterns and full gable glazing struck the right balance between a solid continuation of the house design and achieving the all year-round light, space and connection to the outdoors our clients wanted to preserve.

Large white comfortable couches sit against the opposing low walls and complement the grey slate floor to give the room a modern and contemporary feel while seamlessly connecting to the existing style of home. This has now become the favourite room in the house for family and friends alike to enjoy, whatever the weather!
